Airpas Aviation further along road to success

Braunschweig, March 2014. Braunschweig-based airline software specialist, Airpas Aviation, has boosted its long and successful collaboration with charter carrier Condor with the addition of three further airlines from the Thomas Cook Group. Together, the four Thomas Cook carriers form a group airlines subdivision. With Airpas’ scalable solution for automated auditing, they are ideally placed to achieve further savings. Moreover, Airpas Aviation is a crucial enabler of contract management optimisation for variable flight-related costs, empowering budgeting and forecasting through simulation of market development scenarios, and facilitating optimal corporate management.

In order to remain competitive in the face of intense pricing pressure, IT innovations are continually gaining greater significance in the future cost and revenue management of the airlines. Software specialist Airpas Aviation offers airlines an industry-targeted solution with its “airpas” software, which can gather and process all direct flight-related costs on a near real-time basis.

Implementation at the three Thomas Cook carriers started early 2014 and is scheduled to be completed mid-year, and includes electronic invoicing via EDI. "Only through the application of our modules in the business areas of fuel, ground operations, navigation and staff will the Thomas Cook Airline Group be able to optimise its cost management palpably and profit from considerable savings", says Reinhold Renger, CEO of Airpas Aviation. Airpas Aviation hosts and maintains the application and, because airpas supports multiple clients out of the box, allowing all four airlines to run together on a single system, Thomas Cook has benefited from further savings and synergies.

"We’re delighted to have received this contract – it shows that the long-standing, successful use of our software solutions at Condor was able to convince all the other airlines within the Thomas Cook Group of our system's viability", explains Dr. Susanne Bellin, Director of Customer Services. "Our customers appreciate the fact that we have made the right choices early on in maximising the optimisation and efficiency of our processes with the automation of formerly manual processes."
