Community launch at Airpas Aviation Summit 2012
The network’s goal is the joint discussion of strategic airline issues and product-related developments. The launch underlines the experts’ status as one of the leading software providers and specialists in the field.
At the end of September, Airpas Aviation organized the “Airpas Aviation Summit” in Antalya for its national and international clients from the airline industry. In addition to the latest developments in the sector, the main focus of this year’s conference was the extension of the supply chain to include procurement, which will enable the addition of a module for managing tenders and contracts. “Airline clients from the MENA region, in particular, showed a lot of interest,” says Dr Susanne Bellin, Director Customer Services. “Our European airline clients were very enthusiastic about the new options for reporting offered by the Oracle BI Suite. In addition to its existing functionality, it now provides web-based management dashboards for modern, mobile devices.”
“Airpas Community” sets the standard for customer involvement management
“Our customer base is constantly growing, and so we wanted to offer our clients a forum where they could interact and exchange views with one another, but also discuss strategic airline topics and product-related developments together with us,” explains Airpas Aviation CEO Reinhold Renger, speaking about the conference. “The lively feedback during the official presentation confirms us in our company view that this initiative delivers a concrete benefit in our dialogue with our clients. It enables us gradually to close the gap in communication between our customers.” Turkish conference participants, in particular, singled out the open exchange of information with the Airpas customer base for praise.
Airpas Aviation’s “airpas” product offers national and international airlines tried and tested software solutions to help them meet the latest requirements when it comes to optimized cost management. Airpas Aviation’s clients include Ryanair, TUIfly, Condor, Air Berlin, SunExpress, airBaltic, Royal Air Maroc and SkyWork. The standard product – highly efficient invoice reconciliation, including automated accruals – is now being used successfully by more than 20 airlines. A full service provider, Airpas Aviation can deliver single source operation if required.
Renger adds that the conference underlined the continuing relevance of the topic of reducing direct flight-related costs. “In essence it is a question of getting fast, precise information immediately following a flight and finding alternatives at short notice to routes that are losing money,” says Renger. Airpas Aviation offers airlines an ideal tool to aid decision-making in the form of a simulation that is part of the “airpas” solution.
