Airpas Aviation Summit praised as overwhelming success

September 2016 - This biennial event brought together more than 70 representatives from 30 current and prospective Airpas customers.

September 2016 - Reinhold Renger, CEO of Airpas Aviation, officially opened the Summit on September 8 with a welcome note, followed by presentations from Airpas team members about new and enhanced product capabilities. The morning session ended with outlook presentations about the future of Airpas as an independent solution and how it will integrate into the Sabre AirVision Planning and Scheduling solution family.

For the afternoon session, Airpas welcomed its external speakers from Condor, Ryanair, IATA, Transavia France and Transavia Netherlands. Pramod Jain, Vice President of Sabre AirVision Marketing & Solution Management, Sabre Airline Solutions, also introduced the Airpas customers to Sabre and provided valuable insights into the business case and benefits of Sabre acquiring Airpas for the Airpas customer base.

A dinner cruise that evening on the Main River (see group picture below) provided an opportunity for our team to socialize with our guests in a very appealing setting, further progressing the collaborative spirit among the attendees.

The Summit wrapped up September 9 with the community workshop of key users and thought leaders discussing possible enhancements to add to the Airpas solution. And finally, a select group of customers and prospects joined the Airpas and Sabre teams for a two-hour safety simulation and training session arranged by Condor.
